U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Lee recently helped launch an economic initiative aimed at keeping minority and women-owned businesses in Oakland. As a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, she has also taken up issues of social justice, affordable housing, HIV/AIDS prevention and increasing diversity in Silicon Valley. The congresswoman, whose 13th District stretches from San Leandro to Berkeley, joins us in studio.
