49ers and Raiders Season Preview: Two Teams Headed in Opposite Directions?

The San Francisco 49ers are facing an uphill battle after what some are calling “the worst offseason in NFL history.” Coach Jim Harbaugh’s departure proved the first in a series of personnel losses, capped with last week’s release of linebacker Aldon Smith. Meanwhile, the Oakland Raiders look to be on the upswing with a promising young quarterback and a new head coach. However, as the team eyes a possible move to Los Angeles, local Raiders fans may face a new kind of heartbreak. We’ll look at what the 2015 season holds for the Bay Area teams.
