Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson, a Santa Rosa native, made history in January when they finished the first free ascent of El Capitan’s Dawn Wall, widely considered one of the toughest climbs in the world. The pair spent six years preparing for the 19-day ascent of Yosemite’s famed monolith. The two climbers join us to discuss their improbable feat and what it was like to hang by the tips of their fingertips, thousands of feet above the ground.
