Although she now lives in Santa Monica, Paula Poundstone has deep roots in San Francisco’s comedy scene. In the 1980s, she was a fixture in local clubs, where she caught the attention of fellow stand-up Robin Williams, who she says helped propel her onto the national stage. We’ll talk to Poundstone about her career, her recent role in Pixar’s “Inside Out” and her gig as a regular panelist on NPR’s weekly news quiz show, “Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!”
