Michael Tilson Thomas celebrates his 20th anniversary as music director of the San Francisco Symphony this year. He joins us to talk about the upcoming Beethoven festival and SoundBox, the symphony’s nightclub-style venue that aims to attract a younger crowd to the classical music scene. Tilson Thomas has won 12 Grammys and the National Medal of Arts.
