San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors will vote Tuesday on proposed regulations for room-rental sites like Airbnb. The legislation, written by Supervisor David Chiu, would legalize short-term rentals and limit who is allowed to list apartments online, and for how long. A wide coalition of residents worried about rising housing prices and the lack of available rental units is asking for further limitations.
