After the first day of the G-8 summit meeting in Northern Ireland, topics like tax evasion, transparency and a U.S.-European Union bilateral trade agreement seemed largely overshadowed by talks of the Syrian conflict. Guests:

Fiona Hill, director of the Center on the United States and Europe, senior fellow in foreign policy studies at the Brookings Institution and author of "Mr. Putin: Operative in the Kremlin"

John Aglionby, reporter for The Financial Times Limited
