Libya’s capital of Tripoli has become the latest epicenter of the historic Middle East protests. Ruler Muammar el-Qaddafi responded by sending out militiamen and warplanes as his son warned that Libya was no Egypt or Tunisia. We discuss what makes Libya different from its neighbors and its death toll so far, and we’ll get an update on the unrest in Bahrain and Yemen.

Guests:

Dirk Vandewalle, associate professor of government at Dartmouth College, and author of "A History of Modern Libya"

Fred Abrahams, special adviser for Human Rights Watch

Jim Gelvin, professor of Middle Eastern history at UCLA

Omar Turbi, Libyan-American businessman and commentator on US-Libyan relations
