One-third of paroled sex offenders in California are homeless, according to a recent Department of Corrections task force report. We discuss the report, which recommends repealing the blanket residency restrictions of Jessica’s Law to protect public safety.

The report notes a 24-fold increase in sex offender homelessness since the passage of Jessica’s Law, which severely restricts where offenders can live.
