Republican Mark Meuser is challenging incumbent Democrat Alex Padilla for the position of Secretary of State. Meuser, a California native and Walnut Creek resident, believes that “the counting of one’s ballot should not be a partisan issue.” In August, Meuser finished visiting all of California’s 58 counties — by bike.
