Glide Memorial Church is a San Francisco institution, known for its social programs and lively services. But Glide's parent organization, the United Methodist Church, is not singing its praises. The bishop abruptly reassigned Glide's two pastors on Sunday, the San Francisco Chronicle reported this week.
