Sam Hawgood spent 30 years in several high-profile positions at UCSF before taking the role of chancellor in 2014. Under his leadership, UCSF has partnered with Berkeley and Stanford to create the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, a collaborative research center focused on innovations in medicine and public health. We’ll get the latest on how the partnership is going, and hear about a new $5 billion fundraising effort aimed at tackling what Hawgood calls “the hardest problems.”
