Musician and playwright Hershey Felder has crafted a unique career, performing one-man stage biographies in which he acts, sings and plays piano as virtuosic composers like Chopin or Gershwin. In his newly revised show, Felder chronicles the life of the musical giant Ludwig van Beethoven from the perspective of a doctor who, as a boy, accompanied the maestro in his final years. Felder joins us to talk about the show and about how he approaches playing some of music’s greatest composers.
