Con Brio is a San Francisco band with a soul-funk-psychedelic rock sound that some have compared to Sly and the Family Stone and Curtis Mayfield. Con Brio means "with spirit," and the band is known for its spirited stage performances and frontman Ziek McCarter's energetic dance moves. The band's debut album, "Paradise," delves into the darker issues of police brutality and loss, including the death of McCarter's father at the hands of police. The band performs for us live in-studio.
