In a 2009 profile of former Golden State Warriors center Adonal Foyle, ESPN wrote that “he is the NBA player you want your children to grow up to be.” Standing tall at 6’10”, Foyle holds the franchise record for blocked shots. But since he retired in 2010, he has worked as a philanthropist, activist, author and entrepreneur. He founded a student organization that advocates for campaign finance reform, and co-founded a program that offers free sports camps and mentoring to at-risk youth. Foyle, who grew up in poverty in the Caribbean, joins us to talk about life after the Warriors.
