The notion of gender fluidity has become increasingly accepted in recent years, and according to author Frank Browning, that's had a major impact on power structures and politics across the world. Browning argues that the gender revolution has played a role in the rise of Donald Trump and right-wing extremism. The former NPR Science reporter joins us to talk about his new book, "The Fate of Gender," which looks at how different cultures approach gender, from conservative Catholics in Paris to transsexual Mormon parents in Utah.
