Before entering into national politics, Valerie Jarrett served as deputy chief of staff for a Chicago mayor and was CEO of a major real estate development company. Now, as a Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, she oversees the White House Offices of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, and chairs the White House Council on Women and Girls. Jarrett joins us to discuss criminal justice reform, gun legislation, and the recent White House “United State of Women” Summit.
