Car manufacturers, environmentalists, utility companies and engineers are meeting in San Jose this week at Plug-In 2010 to talk about making electric cars ready for prime time. Several electric cars are presently on the street or making their debut soon, including the Tesla, the Chevrolet Volt, Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi iMiev.
