We preview the “Birth of Impressionism” exhibit opening this weekend at San Francisco’s de Young Museum. The de Young is the only museum in the world that will host two consecutive Impressionist exhibits from the Musee d’Orsay in Paris. The directors of the de Young and the Musee d’Orsay join us to discuss the exhibit, and the tumultuous events in 19th century France that led to a transformation of the art world.

Guests:

John Buchanan, director of Fine Arts Museums San Francisco, including the de Young Museum

Guy Cogeval, president of the Musee d'Orsay in Paris
