Climate Book Club
Climate action starts with talking about it with people in our daily lives. This book club, led by KQED climate reporter Danielle Venton, gives us something to talk about. You can read the book and join the conversation, or listen along, in this solutions-oriented environment for learning about climate change. We’ll be reading Not the End of the World: How We Can Be the First Generation To Build a Sustainable Planet by Hannah Ritchie. This book is “for anyone who finds it difficult to believe in a better future,” the Times of London review said. Ritchie is a data scientist and researcher at Oxford University. Her goal is to convince her readers that there’s a lot the average person can do to make sure the planet our children inherit is healthier than the one we were born into. Grab your copy now!
We’re also planning to do a book exchange. Bring some books you’re ready to pass on, and maybe you’ll pick up one or two new ones!
