Join members of KQED’s Youth Advisory Board for a monthly sneak peek of upcoming episodes from Above the Noise.
Above the Noise, a YouTube series for teens, cuts through the hype and dives deep into the science behind the issues affecting their daily lives. The series takes on controversial subject matter with facts and research to help young viewers draw informed conclusions, while inspiring media literacy and civic engagement.
In partnership with The Mix at the San Francisco Public Library, a youth-created, youth-centered educational space, we’ll be hosting preview screenings for youth every month this fall. Each screening takes place on a Monday from 4-5 pm, and includes snacks, plus a youth-facilitated conversation on the episode’s topic (and sometimes a visit from the show’s hosts and producers!).
