In an energetic, student-filled Berkeley neighborhood, Impression of Lanzhou dishes up hand-made noodles and homey plates of Chinese fare. Think big plate chicken atop thick, chewy noodles and rich, savory bone broth with tender bone-in beef. Over in Redwood City, Hurrica has a playful yet elevated menu set inside a nautical-inspired atmosphere. Dishes range from delicate, buttery milk bread with marinated feta and eggplant to whole roasted dorade, with guests being able to enjoy their meal next to an enormous jellyfish tank. To end the episode, Rosamunde Sausage Grill in San Francisco’s Mission District brings Oktoberfest energy and community to the Bay Area. Savory sausages are complemented by house-made sauces and pickles alongside a huge selection of German and craft beers.
