Rik Malone

Even though he has spent his life around classical music, Rik Malone is not a Classical "lifer." He has acted in bad horror films, headlined at CBGB's, and taught people how to get "stabbed" by swords without really getting hurt. But he loves classical music, and even as a kid, when he couldn't understand why nobody else got as excited about Beethoven as he did, he wanted to share it with his friends. That would be you. He studied viola at Oberlin, and over the last 20 years he's been a performer, promoter, presenter, producer and publicist for classical music organizations in New York and the Bay Area. He is currently the Music Director and Evening Announcer for KDFC, and the radio voice of the San Francisco Symphony.
