Haim takes the stage Friday night as part of their Sister Sister Sister tour, which I guess pretty much explains what they’re about.

The three sisters — Alana, Este and Danielle — have been making music together their whole lives. But now they’re old enough to sing about relationships gone sideways, and tease each other on stage between songs from their two albums, Days Are Gone and now Something To Tell You, which was released last June.

They’re on a European and North American tour, including the all-important Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Want a teaser?  Watch this video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The moviemaker is a former student of their mother’s, so they’ve got that leg up. But don’t get the wrong idea and think this is some Hollywood confection served up treacly sweet. The Haim sisters write, produce and play their own music.
