Endangered Fin Whale Dies After Washing up on Stinson Beach

A 45-50 foot fin whale was stranded on the north side of Stinson Beach early this morning. Experts believe the whale washed ashore during high tide around midnight. A volunteer with the Marine Mammal Center first spotted the animal at 7:15 a.m. Marine veterinarians are on the scene.
