On April 17, NPR Music is debuting Tiny Desk Radio, an hour-long program of performances, interviews and behind-the-scenes stories made exclusively for public radio stations.
Each week, Tiny Desk Radio hosts Bobby Carter and Anamaria Sayre will present three Tiny Desk concerts and share how these memorable (and sometimes viral) moments came together. You’ll hear world-class musicians from the worlds of pop, jazz, classical, Americana, hip-hop, R&B and more stripping down their sound for a concert series that’s unlike anything else on the internet — or the radio.
You can hear Tiny Desk Radio on KQED Public Radio every Saturday evening at 9pm and again on Sundays at 8pm beginning April 19. To celebrate, KQED Public Radio will host a Tiny Desk Radio “takeover” on Friday, April 18, which will include a special airing of the program debut at noon and inserts throughout the day from hosts and audience sharing their favorite Tiny Desk moments.
Tune into KQED Public Radio 88.5 FM each week or download the KQED App to listen each Saturday at 9pm and again on Sunday at 8pm each week to catch Tiny Desk Radio.
