Grab your proton packs and slip into the nearest beige jumpsuit because a brand new Ghostbusters movie is on the way! Like Slimer from a hotdog cart, the first teaser trailer popped up most unexpectedly this morning. Dan Aykroyd, who starred in the original 1984 and 1989 movies, has signed on to appear, and has said he expects Bill Murray will do the same. Both had cameos in 2016's all-female Ghostbusters reboot. (Aykroyd appeared as a cynical cabbie; Murray as a meddling scientist.)
The first trailer doesn't tell us much, but the tone, both musically and visually, lines up very faithfully with the originals.
Ghostbusters 3 won't hit screens until Summer 2020. In the meantime, we'll just have this Ray Parker Jr. classic on repeat...
