Update Nov. 6: A committee of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 on Monday to recommend a partial ban on nudity in the city, the San Francisco Examiner reports.

The proposal goes next to the full Board of Supervisors on Nov. 20. Two hours of testimony turned colorful when a nudist disrobed at the lectern during her testimony. Nudity is already prohibited in City Hall. She was escorted out of City Hall by sheriff’s deputies.

Supervisor Scott Wiener has proposed to restrict public nudity in reaction to complaints about nudists in the Castro neighborhood.

Nudity is already against the rules in City Hall, so the meeting is mostly g-rated.

KQED’s Forum discussed the nudity proposal last month. You can listen to the archived audio of that show.
