Hundreds of thousands of San Francisco Giants fans were expected to line Market Street from the Embarcadero to Civic Center today for the team’s World Series victory parade. That turned this morning’s commute into either a headache or a party, depending on whether you were a fan or just trying to get to the office.

Fans were already showing up at BART stations at 4:30 a.m. – more than six hours before the parade – and staking out spots on Market Street at 5 a.m., according to photos and other updates posted by fans on social media.
