The number of U.S. residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia will skyrocket as baby boomers hit their elderly years. Already, nearly six million people nationwide suffer from dementia, a number that will more than double in the coming decades. To begin addressing that need, UCLA has launched a program it hopes will become a model for dementia care.
