University of California students are facing a big tuition hike this fall and for the next five years, unless UC President Janet Napolitano and Gov. Jerry Brown can get over their differences. Napolitano says the UC needs more money from the state to keep up quality. Brown says he won't do it, unless tuition stays down. The two formed a committee to try to come to some agreement. But at Wednesday's Board of Regents meeting, they were light on specifics.
