Disability advocates and labor unions criticized California health officials’ new age-based vaccine eligibility system that appears to reshuffle people’s place in line.

Now that the state has switched to an age-based system, any tiers and phases after 1B Tier 1 will be out the window.

Until there is enough vaccine supply to go around, it unfortunately looks like distributing the vaccine in California and across the country is going to be a zero-sum game.
