Did you hear? Entrance to all national parks is free on Saturday to celebrate the start of National Park Week!

National parks charge different entry fees, with Yosemite charging $35 per car and some parks charging no admission fee at all.

This weekend, every single park will be free to enter (although you may still have to pay for a campsite, transportation fees or to launch your boat.)

Author and environmentalist Wallace Stegner said of our national parks, "National parks are the best idea we ever had. Absolutely American, absolutely democratic, they reflect us at our best rather than our worst."

Either way, it's a great time to be thankful for our incredible national parks -- which are a perfect antidote to obsessively following news of the Mueller report.
