Shaima Swileh will be able to visit her 2-year-old dying son in Oakland after the U.S. State Department granted her a travel ban visa waiver.

Swileh is expected to join her husband, Ali Hassan, Wednesday to say their last goodbyes to son Abdullah at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.

Abdullah was born in war-torn Yemen in 2016 during a conflict that has involved U.S.-made bombs dropped by Saudi jet fighters, war crimes and a growing humanitarian crisis.
