Mayor London Breed, who grew up in public housing just blocks from City Hall, was sworn in as San Francisco's first African-American woman mayor.

The top two concerns among San Francisco voters are the current housing affordability crisis and homelessness.

While calling for unity in San Francisco, Breed came out swinging against the Trump administration, saying, "In San Francisco we don't put children in cages. We put them in classrooms."
