In Southern California, one of the leading Republican challengers to Congresswoman Maxine Waters is trying to assemble a broad coalition to defeat her. Perhaps the broadest in all of the state. Edwin Deturte is trying to court working class Filipinos. That makes sense, as he comes from that community. He's also actively and openly courting white nationalists in the Inglewood area, as well as active gang members, as gang members know how to organize in the community.
