Wild weather hit the Bay Area on Monday with people sledding in Oakland.

There were substantial accumulations of hail reported in the East Bay and even possibly "graupel," which looks an awful lot like snow.

Photos of sliding cars and sledding kids were shared widely on social media.

Scattered thunderstorms and showers may continue but chances are you won't have to break out the snow shovel (if you even own one).
