Trump’s Planned Visit To San Diego Draws Supporters, Protesters and Tight Security

San Diego residents who oppose President Trump's border wall organized a protest Monday afternoon ahead of his visit to see the prototypes. A few dozen immigrant rights activists and environmental leaders gathered in San Diego's Chicano Park, long a focal point for activism, to say that Trump isn't welcome here.

Mandatory Evacuations in Santa Barbara Ahead of Rains

Residents in portions of Santa Barbara county are under mandatory evacuation orders today, as a storm with the potential to trigger flash flooding and debris flows settles into the region. Sheriff deputies went door to door last night to get residents out of areas burned by last year's wildfires. As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the evacuation orders have been lifted.
