Kroger Co. announced that its Fred Meyer stores would stop selling firearms and ammunition to people under 21, joining Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods in limiting gun sales.
Following the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, corporations are quickly moving to distance themselves from assault weapons and the gun lobby.
Dick's Sporting Goods went so far as to lay out the company's prescription for sensible gun reform.
After the killings at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, Dick's removed assault-style rifles from their stores only to begin selling them a few months later at its outdoor specialty store, Field & Stream.
