Reaction to recent Northern California immigration raids continues after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials reported arresting 150 people, half with no criminal convictions.

The Trump administration continues to claim that sanctuary city policies lead to rampant crime while ICE Deputy Director Thomas Homan says immigration enforcement focuses on "public safety threats."

On Tuesday ICE issued a statement saying that approximately half of the people arrested had no criminal convictions and were being detained for violating immigration laws.
