With temperatures in Death Valley topping 120 degrees on Sunday, California is welcoming the arrival of summer with a heat wave.
According to the National Weather Service, parts of the Central Valley will see triple-digit temperatures for several days. Compared to the heat of the inland valleys, San Francisco's "hot" temperatures seem downright cool.
