Kiyo Sato spent her childhood in the 1920s and 30s on a strawberry farm near Sacramento. In her memoir “Kiyo’s Story,” winner of the 2008 William Saroyan International Prize for nonfiction, she recalls the trauma of being forced to leave her family farm for a Fresno internment camp during World War II. Sato joins us for a conversation in-studio.
