In 2007, New Yorker writer George Packer wrote an explosive article about Iraqi interpreters who jeopardized their lives for Americans in the war, but were offered very little protection or security. We talk with Packer about how he turned that article into the new play “Betrayed,” which makes its West Coast premiere at the Aurora Theater in Berkeley.
