Norwegian writer Karl Ove Knausgaard’s autobiographical novel “My Struggle” is an unlikely literary hit. The six-volume, 3,600-page work recounts the mundane events of his life in vivid, sometimes excruciating detail. But the book has become an international bestseller and Knausgaard’s dedicated fans include leading authors like Jeffrey Eugenides and Zadie Smith.
