Director Paul Thomas Anderson on 'Inherent Vice,' Tackling Pynchon

In director Paul Thomas Anderson’s new movie “Inherent Vice,” Joaquin Phoenix and an all-star cast channel 1970s Los Angeles in a psychedelic mix of noir and comedy. The screenplay, also written by Anderson, is based on Thomas Pynchon’s book of the same name. We talk to Anderson about the new film and other highlights of his body of work, including “Boogie Nights,” “The Master” and “There Will be Blood.”
