The National Transportation Safety Board just wrapped up three days of hearings on the fatal PG&E pipeline explosion in San Bruno. Testimony ranged from the state of gas pipeline technology to whether or not the September 9 blast was an “anomaly.” In the coming days, the safety board will prepare an accident report and ultimately determine a probable cause. We recap what was said at the hearings and ask what it will mean for PG&E going forward.

Guests:

Jaxon Van Derbeken, reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle, and is currently in Washington D.C. covering the hearings

Deborah Hersman, chair of the National Transportation Safety Board

Jackie Speier, Democrat congresswoman, representing California's 12th Congressional District
