A UCSF study has found that taking a daily dose of an anti AIDS drug called “Truvada” reduced the infection rate among those at high risk of contracting the virus by almost 70 percent. Researchers are using words like “breakthrough,” “groundbreaking,” and “promising,” to describe the findings. We talk with the lead author of the study, Dr. Robert Grant.
