The California Democratic Party Endorses Kevin de León

On Saturday evening in Oakland, the California Democratic Party endorsed Kevin de León over 26-year incumbent Sen. Dianne Feinstein. Although de León only won 12 percent of the vote in June’s primary election, the party’s decision to support de León highlights a lack of confidence in Feinstein and the growing influence of progressives in the California Democratic establishment.
