President Obama’s former green jobs adviser and longtime local activist Van Jones is being honored this week by Global Exchange for his work promoting human rights. Jones resigned from his White House post last year under pressure from conservatives, following a flap over his alleged support for a Sept. 11 conspiracy group. Jones, who continues working on environmental and social justice issues, joins us in the studio. He’s the author of “The Green Economy: How One Solution Can Fix Our Two Biggest Problems.”

Guests:

Van Jones, author, senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and founder of the Ella Baker Center and Green For All, a national organization dedicated to building a green economy strong enough to lift people out of poverty
