In this episode of Taste This, Leslie Sbrocco visits Spoonbar where bar manager Alec Vlastnik purees local organic peaches and combines them with Larceny bourbon, fresh lemon juice and Averna Amaro to make a perfectly planned Jailbreak...cocktail.

Recipe: Jailbreak cocktail from Spoonbar

Makes 1 cocktail

    Ingredients:
  • 1 ½ ounces Black Tea infused Larceny Bourbon (recipe below)
  • ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ ounce Peach Puree
  • splash Averna Amaro
  • dehydrated peach slice, for garnish, optional
    Instructions:
  1. Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, peach puree and Amaro in a shaker. Add ice and shake.
  2. Strain into a glass and add fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with a dehydrated peach slice.

Black Tea Infused Bourbon

Makes 1 bottle

    Ingredients:
  • 1 bottle bourbon
  • ¼ cup black tea leaves
    Instructions:
  1. Combine the bourbon and tea leaves in a glass container; seal tightly. Reserve the bourbon bottle.
  2. Infuse for 7 to 10 days.
  3. Strain into bourbon bottle.
